Welcome to IPFW Helmke Library's Course Reserve system.
As of January 2014, the Library's Course Reserve system includes only items that cannot be digitized due to copyright restrictions, such as most books and DVDs.
To place physical items on reserve in the Library, please complete the online Reserve form.
You will receive a confirmation e-mail for each Reserve request. If you are placing a personally owned item on reserve, please print the confirmation e-mail and attach it to the item before sending it to the library. Reserve requests for library owned material do not require a printout of the confirmation e-mail.
IPFW's learning management system, Blackboard Learn, provides online access to other course materials, such as articles and book chapters, which can be digitized under copyright law.
If you need materials digitized for online access through Blackboard Learn, contact IPFW Printing Services which provides a fee-based scanning service to produce electronic copies.
If you would like a CD of the scanned material that you placed in ReservesEXpress in the past, contact Graham Fredrick in the Library at email@example.com.
Use the Fair Use Checklist to determine copyright compliance for the digitization and dissemination of course materials through Blackboard Learn. Look for the .pdf Checklist linked at bottom of page. The IPFW Guide to Copyright is another useful resource.
